I love to find evidences of God’s prophecies coming true. In my research about Isaiah 13:20-22, I found out what God said has already happened. Those verses read, “It [Babylon] will never be inhabited or lived in from generation to generation; Nor will the Arab pitch his tent there, Nor will shepherds make their flocks lie down there. But desert creatures will lie down there, And their houses will be full of owls; Ostriches also will live there, and shaggy goats will frolic there. Hyenas will howl in their fortified towers And jackals in their luxurious palaces. Her fateful time also will soon come And her days will not be prolonged” (NASB).

Several resources told me that today, Babylon’s ruins (in modern day Iraq) are covered by sand and uninhabited. The Arabs don’t even pitch their tents there because they are superstitious and fearful about the area.

I found that interesting and a confirmation of God’s words which He has chosen to fulfill now rather than at a later time–as applies to many prophecies.
