Yay! I’ve just subscribed Ms. Kathy. I think I was initially thrilled to be able to put a voice to your face and name my friend. You somehow became “more real”, if that makes any sense. Congratulations. As to your question, I’ve long thought that also I love all of God’s attributes (and I’m sure there are some I’ve yet to discover), the one that has come to stand out for me the most is His love. In understanding this His love drives everything He does, I find it easier to accept. I can more easily accept His correction because I know He loves me and wants the best for me. I can more easily accept His fellowship because He is teaching me to love His way. For me, I think my favorite four-word phrase in God’s word is “For God so loved…” Love your insomnia fix. Will be trying that.
Mr. J.D., it’s very fun when we are able to put a face to a name. And I’ve been able to do that with you watching you on several podcasts and following your blog. So thank you for your encouragement. It means a lot. And yes, love is the trunk of the tree of God’s nature from which every branch stems and fuels. Like you said, if we see everything God does through the lens of His nature of love, like Him correcting us, we will be more accepting of His choices for us.
