Let’s take a break from studying Job for a book give-away! I’m so pleased to be able to recommend my friend, Karen O’Connor’s book, Gettin’ Old Ain’t for Wimps! This is a delightful book. In the past, it was offered as a softcover book. Now Harvest House Publishers has made it also available as a hardback gift book. Karen has written and compiled fun stories of older folk and absolutely delightful photos of senior adults from all over the world! The photos themselves are worth the price of the book.
The stories, though, are heartwarming or humorous or tear-jerkers or all three elements. Karen has done a great job of finding touching stories from other people and also including some of her own. Some of the stories feature a married couple but other stories are about friends.
There are eleven stories that also feature a Scripture “Reflection” and a “Just Between God And Me” prayer. Plus sprinkled throughout the book are quotes about marriage or friendship.
This book would especially be a great gift for some senior adult who needs an encouraging hug from the Lord and/or who doesn’t know the Lord closely. But for anyone, it will be a fun and touching experience.
I’d love to send you this book–if you put your name in the “hat” and win the drawing! Just post a comment below or send me an email at kathyspeak @ dc.rr.com (omit spaces). Do so please by this Friday, July 6th.

Kathy please enter my name into the drawing, but if I win I would like to have the book mailed to Judy Miniaci. If that is ok. I think this book would bring a smile to her face and put laughter in her heart. I love you and Larry both. God bless you guys. "J". Ü
