I’m so excited to recommend to you Kathi Lipp’s latest book Praying God’s Word for Your Life. And you could win a free copy in my drawing! Check it out below.

Praying God's Word for Your Life - By: Kathi Lipp But let me tell you about Kathi. Kathi is a busy mom of four and is married to Roger. God has used her mightily through her books and speaking. And when you’re in her presence, you feel energized and empowered. I recently had that privilege again, and I just love her. She is so encouraging, and so is this, her latest book. She has another book with this theme: Praying God’s Word for Your Husband. She also has written The Husband Project, The Me Project, and other books.

The book I’m eager to give to one of my readers is Praying God’s Word for Your Life and it’s a manual for prayer and gives specific prayers you can pray for yourself on a variety of subjects and needs. So often, we just don’t have the words to pray, and especially when we—ourselves—are in need of prayer, it’s even harder because it feels so selfish to pray for ourselves. But God tells us to pray so why do we take ourselves out of the equation? As the song goes, “It’s me, O Lord, it’s me, standing in the need of prayer.”

The first section is entitled, “Preparing for Prayer” and includes:

  • How to use this book
  • Preparing your heart to pray
  • Why pray this way?

The second section is entitled, “Prayers for Your life” and includes these topics:

  • When you’re overwhelmed
  • Your relationship with God
  • Your relationships with others
  • Your marriage
  • Parenthood
  • When you feel inadequate
  • When you’re at work
  • Your finances
  • When you’re worried
  • When you’re despairing
  • Your past mistakes
  • Your health
  • Your mission in life
  • Your hope in Christ.

I think Kathi has thought of it all, don’t you? Besides writing out specific prayers for us, she includes Bible verses along with stories and instruction.

I bet you’d like to hear one of those prayers, eh? Here’s this one which I love from the “When You Feel Inadequate” chapter:
“O Father, I approach your throne with confidence because I know you are standing behind me and giving me the strength I need. Lord, I feel inadequate right now. I feel like there is no way I am capable of doing what’s expected of me. I am not good enough, talented enough, holy enough, righteous enough, or faithful enough. But you are! You are more than enough for me. I pray that you will shower me with your mercy and grace.”

Then she gives Job 6:11-13 and then another written prayer. Back and forth it goes between applicable Scripture verses and prayers. In the end, you have had your own worship service!

By the way, the next heading after that section is: “When You Feel Inadequate about Your Appearance.” Wow, Girlfriend, doesn’t that just hit us where we’re at? I’ll let you get her book and read that section yourself.

I know you’re eager to get this book for yourself and gift-giving, and you can buy it at your local Christian bookstore, amazon, cbd, and other online places.
