Have you meditated on your inheritance in Christ lately? Here are some aspects of “who you are” to think about:
- I have peace in the midst of a troubled world (John 14:27)
- I am justified through faith (Romans 5:1)
- I am an ambassador for Christ (2 Corinthians 5:20)
- I have every spiritual blessing in Christ (Ephesians 1:3)
- I am holy and blameless in God’s sight (Ephesians 1:4)
- I am adopted as His child (Ephesians 1:5)
- I am forgiven of all my sins–past, present, and future (Ephesians 1:7)
- God has prepared in advance the good things He wants me to do for His glory (Ephesians 2:10)
Each aspect of our inheritance helps us to see ourselves the way God sees us: as His chosen princesses, (Tweet that!) daughters of the King. As heirs in His heavenly kingdom, we are entitled to everything we need for living as royalty.

The bedspread was ugly. I had bought it in desperation at a garage sale for $5.00. “Yuk,” I said, each time I made the bed. I grimaced as I spread the cover.

There was the same bedspread with a well-known designer name. $85.00! Suddenly the bedspread took on a new beauty–once I discovered how much it cost.

Then one day I heard the story of salvation–how Christ had given His life on Calvary, just for me. And suddenly my life took on a new beauty–once I discovered how much it cost.
